The model offers little to no room for Special Education Teachers to deliver instruction or use their skills to their full potential. Instead in the classroom setting we are seen not as the professionals that we are but as aides in the class.
This program design in many ways compromises the amount of time and attention special educators are able to provide to students on an individual basis. Without this support many of these students struggle to keep up with the demands set upon them. I have to admit I have become frustrated regarding the effectiveness this program for my students as well as my own in making a difference in their education. Any thoughts?
